As part of their joint Chess at Schools project, the Chess Federation of Russia and the Timchenko Foundation announce all-Russian chess competitions for pupils.
The All-Russian Olympiad has three rounds:
Round I (in schools, face-to-face) – competitions within general education establishments between 29 March and 5 April 2021;
Round II (statewide, online) – competitions between the teams that won round one between 12 and 16 April 2021;
Round III (all-Russian, online) – matches between the winning teams from round two on 20 April 2021.
The tournament is open to schoolchildren born 2006 — 2012. Teams: five to ten members and a manager – a teacher from the team’s school.
The school round is for individuals and is used to select the best players for the team. The following rounds of the Olympiad are open to the teams that win the first round and fill in an entry form on the portal at www.Шахматнаяпланета.рф by 00:00 MSK on 7 April 2021.
